After 18 years of preparing for the pilgrimage, the first step remains the same:<\/p>\n
Registration<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
For those who would ‘look before you leap’, here follows a summary of registration-fees<\/strong>, with emphasis on discounts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
Discounts for timely registration of a group<\/strong> and a family<\/strong> are different<\/i>. But both discounts have in common that they expire June 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
I. Group<\/em> discounts<\/strong><\/p>\n
a.) The fee for the first two pilgrims (adults or minors) is always $80 each.
\nb.) The fee for each pilgrim thereafter is $50.<\/p><\/blockquote>\nAfter the discount period, ending June 1, “procrastinators’ fees<\/strong>” kick in:<\/p>\n
i.) Registrations postmarked after June 1 cost $80 per pilgrim.
\nii.) Postmarked after July 1, $100\/pilgrim
\niii.) Postmarked after August 1, $120\/pilgrim
\niv.) Postmarked after September 1 or ‘walk-ons’, $150\/pilgrim<\/p><\/blockquote>\nNota bene:<\/i><\/p>\n
No soul is kept from pilgrimage for want of a fee.<\/b> See the explanation about “alms for palms”<\/i> for ways to afford pilgrimage.<\/p>\n
If after begging “alms for palms<\/a>” there is still hardship, a pilgrim may plead to the Director via e-mail<\/a> and followed up by phone, 610\/435-2634.<\/p>\n
To qualify for any discount, payment by check or online must be made with one check sent in one envelope, or in one online transaction.<\/p>\n
A minimum of three pilgrims must register using the same form (online or by mail) before June 1 for the discount to apply.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The newly designed group web-form takes the guess-work out of the final fee. The registrant is shown the total amount as soon as he\/she chooses the “total number of pilgrims” radio button on page 2 of the online form.<\/p>\n
II. Family<\/i> discounts<\/strong><\/p>\n
a.) The fee for the first two family members (adults or minors) is always $75 each.
\nb. The fee for each adult<\/strong> family member thereafter is $40.
\nc. Thereafter, a suggested donation<\/strong> of $20 is asked for each minor member of the same family up to three minors, regardless how many more than three are registered.<\/p><\/blockquote>\nAfter the discount period, ending June 1, “procrastinators’ fees<\/strong>” kick in:<\/p>\n
i. Family registrations postmarked after June 1 cost $75 per family member
\nii. Postmarked after July 1, $95\/member
\niii. Postmarked after August 1, $115\/member
\niv. Postmarked after September 1 or ‘walk-ons’, $145\/member<\/p><\/blockquote>\nNota bene:<\/i><\/p>\n
