You can thank Our Blessed and all-Immaculate Lady, St. Mary the Mother of God, whose feast – her holy Nativity – we celebrate September 8.<\/p>\n

Thanks to your Mother, in other words, you don’t have to miss the pilgrimage because you were ‘a day late and a few dollars short’ (again?) this year.<\/p>\n

Besides ‘alms for palms<\/a>‘ to sponsor you, the organizers’ policy is that no one is turned away from pilgrimage for want of the registration fee.<\/p>\n

Not only on September 8, but this year on 11 other special days, families and groups can still avail of the discounts which expired June 1 when they register<\/a> together – minimum of three pilgrims<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Is there anything else one has to do besides register<\/a> on those days?<\/h3>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

1. First, the discounted fee must be paid online, via PayPal. (One does NOT need a PayPal account to use the service; just a valid credit card.)<\/p>\n

2. Also, the registrants have to ask<\/i><\/b> for the discount in writing by including a note\/request in the “description” field when paying online via PayPal, or by e-mailing the Director<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The note requesting the discount should read: “Humble request for discounted fee in honor of The Blessed Virgin Mary on her holy Nativity”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

3. Finally, the payment must also be postmarked on the day of the feast<\/i>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
