Veteran pilgrims are hereby asked, please, to bring their prayer books of years gone by to step-off this Friday morning!
The Directorate has no more Pilgrims’ Handbooks in stock and will NOT have them on hand to give, as in days gone by, to pilgrims at check-in. Read More
The Christian’s life on pilgrimage does not end until death. And even then, there is an eternity of discovery & delight to expect in the presence of the Supremely Good & Almighty God.
To keep us on The Way, the Pilgrimage Chaplain, Canon Hellmann, has asked each of us to recite with devotion each day the sublime prayer of St. Nicholas of Flüe, and in that way to commit it to memory:
My Lord and my God,
Both Priests flanking His Excellency, Bishop Finn of Kansas City – St. Joseph, have made the Pilgrimage for Restoration as clerics. Two of the young Nuns made the Pilgrimage before taking the Veil.
To which state in the pilgrimage of life is God calling you? (Or your children? Or grandchildren?)
How to persevere, amidst so many trials, in the state to which God has already called you?
Why not make pilgrimage this autumn, and ask God yourself.
You can also ask His sacred Priests and other consecrated souls to teach you the art of listening … and of restoring your soul, by grace.
Then listen during the long periods of silence along the way. And rest.
