After registering, it’s time to pray.
Pilgrimage Chaplains ask all pilgrims to recite the pilgrim’s prayer, composed in three short lines by St. Nicholas of Flüe.
Short as it is, it can be memorized in a minute, tops.
My Lord and my God,
take from me whatever keeps me from Thee.My Lord and my God,
grant me whatever brings me to Thee.My Lord and my God,
take my self, to live wholly in Thee.St. Nicholas of Flüe, 1447-1487
After pilgrimage, continue to pray this prayer, in order better to remain faithful to your resolutions. Print it out, and stick it to your refrigerator or bathroom mirror to remind you to pray it devotedly every day.
