Question #4 – “Where can a pilgrim stay overnight Thursday, to be ready for step-off early Friday morning?” 2021

Once you’ve registered, begun to pray with fellow pilgrims, and requested the shuttle, it’s time to make plans to overnight Thursday in order to be ready for holy Mass and step-off bright & early Friday morning.

There are two choices, which are as follows, in order of pilgrim-popularity:

1.   Stay at the one of the motels in Hamburg.

See this page for contact info to the motels.

The Company of St. René Goupil volunteers will shuttle pilgrims to St. Mary’s Church for required check-in Thursday afternoon/evening, then to their hotel, and finally back to the step-off location at St. Mary’s Friday morning, provided they have requested the shuttle in advance.

2.   Camp at on the vast campus at St. Mary’s Church in Hamburg.

See this page for more info, including a suggested donation to the church for camping.

The Company of St. René Goupil volunteers will shuttle pilgrims to check-in at St. Mary’s Church campus Thursday afternoon/evening, provided each pilgrim-driver has requested the shuttle in advance.

There is no need to shuttle pilgrims from church campus to the step-off point Friday morning, since rendezvous point and step-off are one and the same at St. Mary Church.
