Daily Schedule & Accommodations
View a sample daily schedule from the Pilgrimage 2023 to get an idea of what your day would look like: Modified Pilgrimage 2023 itinerary.
Options for overnight accommodations (subject to change):
Day-0 Thursday – Pilgrims participating in the modified events may reserve a space to park an RV, camper, or full-size van at Wood Park overnight: for a fee of $35/family.
Wood Park is also where every pilgrim must check-in Thursday, in Lake George Village, and is the location for rendezvous and step-off Friday morning.
To learn how to reserve a spot at Wood Park, see this blog post.
For other RV campgrounds, see this page. For local lodgings, see this website.
Day-1 Friday — Pilgrims overnight at a private property. Pilgrims bringing an RV or other vehicle may do so gratis, but are asked to notify the Director of Modified Events in advance. RV owners may offer a free-will donation to the property owner upon arrival.
Day-2 Saturday — Pilgrims overnight at Pop’s Lake Campground, owned by our friends of 25+ years, The Steads — Bob, Anne, and Kat. Pilgrims bringing an RV or camper pay a modest fee at the gate house upon arrival Saturday. For information write in advance to owner Bob Stead at Pop’s Lake Campground.
Day-3 Sunday — RVs and campers may overnight on the Auriesville Shrine grounds, but are ‘on their own’ and must announce their intentions in advance by writing to the Pilgrimage Secretary At-Large no later than September 20. Pilgrim-organizers need time to inform the Shrine’s staff. Note: There is no water source or hook-up on the Shrine grounds.
For questions about the modified pilgrimage contact the Vice-Director via e-mail.
Arriving Saturday for Sunday-only events? — RVs and campers may overnight on the Auriesville Shrine grounds Saturday evening, but are ‘on their own’ and must announce their intentions in advance by writing to the Pilgrimage Secretary At-Large no later than September 20. Pilgrim-organizers need time to inform the Shrine’s staff. Note: There is no water source or hook-up on the Shrine grounds.
Important:
No Pilgrimage events take place at Lake George Battleground Campground. Anyone electing to camp at the Battleground Campground does so of his own accord, but not as a pilgrim or under auspices of the Pilgrimage for Restoration. Please do not identify yourself as pilgrim if you elect to camp there. Campers there must follow all published rules of the Campground.
